Trauma-informed approaches across all service sectors and communities is critical to addressing this epidemic.
Whether you are in behavioral health, healthcare, first responders, educational systems and universities, justice systems, child welfare, faith-based communities, or private business and corporate sectors, you have an essential role to play in building trauma-informed approaches in your workplaces and communities.
Let’s get started.
About Dr. Graves
Dr. Kelly Graves is an international presenter in the areas of trauma, trauma-informed care, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and resiliency. She is sought after as a trainer and technical assistance provider in the areas of trauma and resilience, assisting not only across the United States, but also in countries such as Guam, Japan, and several others. She was invited to the White House under the Obama Administration to participate in Think Tank sessions on building community safety and resiliency. She is a consultant with the Office for Victims of Crime, OVC Training and Technical Assistance Center (OVC TTAC) with the United States Department of Justice, and the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill AHEC Training Partnership program.
Dr. Graves is a clinical psychologist in NC and spent almost 16 years in academia in the UNC system as a tenured Associate Professor. Dr. Graves felt the call to move from the classroom to the community to “do” what she was teaching for so many years, so she founded Kellin, PLLC (which provides training, consulting, and clinical services for private pay clients), as well as Kellin Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that serves the uninsured.
